i luff penguags

...for college! Oh god! have been editing all afternoon (this picture) to try and get it down right. I originally set it up ages ago after viewing Brittany DeWesters blog and how she created it... I wanted to do the whole depicting a release.. and i thought balloons were a great idea. I got silver helium balloons from the bottom of my street and had them tied to me, but as the table legs were underneath me and very uncomfortable, the best image shot had the top of balloons cut off so i had to edit...

I have been back and forth between the lighter version and the darker version and i am aware i have a lot more fixing to do as this needs to be blown up hugely for exhibition purposes!

So i think the vignette is too strong on the bottom version and needs a fixing. Ive also been motivated to do this because I got an email today, from Source magazine calling for 6 pieces. Tempted to turn this into a series but not if i cant get this image right! 6 are required so fingers crossed i can continue to work like this and be bothered!

Im also quite unsure about this blog layout! I think i prefer the thinner text.. ah! for next time me thinks

Hitting the wall

So recently I doth believe i have hit a creative brick wall! I think it may have something to do with the final year of my degree... Ive been working so hard on the 'back up' work i have had no desire at all to take any pictures. When i lost the desire to take pictures i worked on my art journals and canvases or anything! But not now... nothing is there. Im hoping when the better weather arrives i will be able to go exploring to some abandonned buildings. I have been noseying through dA and thinking about my final major piece im creating. I might make it into a series after i graduate in order to exhibit...

Working with Belfast Exposed so I hopefully will be able to talk them into looking at my images and loving me lots. lol

Indeedy!! Ok so, this year... I need to take more photos, be more creative... finish my degree.. and be happy. Made my new years resolutions! Have not been taking enough good quality piccers at all. AND im going to set up a new website when im building one for my final year show. Yep

I am extremely happy to get published in a booooook.

it wasnt a scam, i got my plaque and preview copy of the book.

This week i have been baking cupcakes

u can see all the pics up on DA. Today i have been editing more from teh burlesque shoot so i will be uploading those now. Woo

This weeks feature is a beautiful image with amazing blue tones.

The only features at the moment are my new piccers!! Shot in burlesque style i had the wonderful models Carole, Stephanie and Jade and the even more spectacular make up artist Ruth Maybin.
Im really pleased with the images shot and didnt realise how many until i started editing!!!

And last weeeeeeek i sliced my index finger open on my left hand. its gross.. and difficult to type and do most things lol.
